Thank you – so grateful for community members and their creative contributions

  • Spring Into Action Concert,by spARC, raised over $500
  • John and Brad Mayo raised over $1600 with their chilly swim for shelter event – take a look  here
  • The Head Shoppe Redken Launch raised $350 to purchase shampoo for those we serve.
  • The Trivia Night, hosted in January by Boyne Clarke, raised $506

If the answer is yes to any of these questions, then please join our ever growing group of community fundraisers! To host an event on our behalf please fill out our third party fundraising agreement and send in for approval to

Sleep-Out For Shelter NS


A night of reflection. 

Will you accept the challenge? Shelter Nova Scotia’s Sleep Out is an evening of reflection for people from all walks of life – families, politicians, business leaders, community members, health care practitioners – anyone who wants to make their community stronger. Join us as we break down barriers and raise much needed funds at the sixth annual sleep-out on Saturday, September 29, 2018 – 7 pm to 6:30 am  Victoria Park (Spring Garden Road)

AGM & Annual Reports


Annual General Meeting, Wednesday, June 20, 2018

Please join us from 4:30 – 6:30 PM at the Maritime Conservatory of Performing Arts (6199 Chebucto Rd, Halifax)  We will reflect on the year, celebrate our employees and community members and our first year of the volunteer program. Melissa Phillips, Director of Homelessness and Housing, Shelter Nova Scotia will share her Master of Social Work Research Findings – Best Practices within Shelter Environments, when working with men experiencing homelessness.
